This type of lamp is perfect for the bedroom, but it will look great in any room in the house. It’s up to you to show your imagination and get started!

Equipment

  • 174 crystal beads of different shapes and sizes with a hole
  • 1 thick cardboard disc without perforation, twenty centimeters in diameter
  • Large sequins (the quantity of your choice)
  • 7 CDs you no longer use
  • 1 spray of silver-colored paint
  • 1 bulb socket
  • Nylon thread
  • Silicone gun

The instructions

  • In the middle of the cardboard disc, make a hole whose diameter should match the diameter of your bulb socket.
  • Paint the socket with the spray paint silver color, then let dry.
  • Break CDs with your hands so that you get fairly large songs.
  • Glue the CD pieces onto the cardboard disc, taking care not to cover the hole and leaving space between the different pieces. This will create a faded mosaic effect.
  • Now is the time to cut the nylon thread. You must end up with twenty different sized threads. Cut a first thread of twenty centimeters. For the second thread, count an extra centimeter, or twenty-one centimeters, and so on, until you get twenty threads.
  • Take the shortest thread (the one of twenty centimeters) and nine crystal beads. Pass the thread inside a crystal bead, and fix the bead with silicone so that the bead cannot move. Attach a second bead, leaving one centimeter of separation between the two beads.
  • Then repeat the operation with the other wires. For every centimeter of extra thread, count an extra bead. You will therefore fix ten beads on the 21-centimeter thread.
  • Add glitter wherever you want. Then fix them with silicone.
  • Once your threads are ready, hang them on the cardboard disc so that the pearl threads hang down. Secure them by increasing size.
  • All you have to do is place the socket and then put a bulb.
  • That’s it !
