8 Recommended Exercises For Toning Your Body At Home

How to tone your body at home?

1. A 5-minute warm-up

As you already know, this part of the training is essential. It is even essential to avoid lesions and to allow the muscles to place themselves in a dynamic of effort. They will be more efficient if they are well heated.

You can just run a bit or, if you don’t have the space, go up and down your stairs at a moderate speed. It is a very powerful option, which allows you to work both the lower limbs and the cardio. What could be better ?

2. The step , to tone your body, legs and buttocks

If you don’t have a specific machine, you can use a very low, sturdy step stool, step stool, or table to tone your body.

  • First, go up with your dominant leg (the one that serves as your support), then with the other. Go back down in the same way.
  • Try to keep your back as straight as possible, to avoid straining it unnecessarily.
  • When you step onto the platform, press your foot fully on it, for the exercise to be as powerful as possible.

  • Lie on your back. Place your ankles on a chair, then rest your neck firmly on a cushion (even if it does not appear in the photo).
  • Press your hands on your chest or on the floor, then lift your buttocks as high as possible.
  • Slowly go back down, then repeat.
  • Keep your back straight so you don’t hurt yourself.

4. Finish toning your thighs and buttocks

This exercise comes in addition to the previous exercise to tone your body.

  • Lie on your stomach, then rest your arms on a cushion or on the floor.
  • Lift one of your legs up, then lower it. Repeat with the other leg.
  • The ideal is to do 25 reps for each leg, but listen to your body and don’t push too hard.

5. Tone your butt

You will need, for this exercise, a table or a chair, which will serve as a support.

  • Stand next to your stand, then rest your nearest hand on it.
  • Lift the opposite leg (as shown), until you get a perfectly right angle.
  • Do 25 reps on the same side, then reverse your position.

This is one of the easiest and most fun.

  • Spread your legs apart and put your body weight on one leg, tilting your torso in that direction and then the other.
  • You can do this with music if you want. Try this very simple exercise now and have fun!

7. Abs

For this exercise, you will again need a chair for support.

  • Lie on your back, then place your legs on a chair. Make sure they are firmly placed on the chair, up to the knees.
  • Raise your torso, being careful to keep your back straight. The force should come from your abdominal area, not your neck. Otherwise, you will certainly hurt yourself quickly.

8. Complete toning your abs

  • Lie on your back, with your arms stretched out at your sides.
  • Bend your legs, bringing your knees as close to your torso as possible, before returning to your starting position.
  • As soon as you are used to this exercise, you can cross your legs, orienting your knees towards one side of your body, to work your obliques.
