White eucalyptus ( eucalyptus globulus ) is the most widely used medicinal plant for  inhalations in respiratory ailments. It is recommended for colds, mucus, coughs, asthma and sore throat. Likewise, its oil is used topically to massage the upper back and chest.

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons of eucalyptus leaves (18 grams)
  • 4 cups of water (1 liter)

Preparation:

  • First, boil the eucalyptus leaves in water for 10 minutes.
  • Then, extinguish the fire and start breathing the vapors from a distance of at least one foot to avoid getting burned. You can breathe through your nose and stop it.

  • Cayenne pepper: strengthens the immune system and fights congestion.
  • Bee honey: natural antibiotic, bactericide and antiseptic. It relieves coughs and facilitates the expulsion of mucus.

Ingredients:

  • 4 tablespoons of freshly grated ginger (40 grams)
  • 1 tablespoon of ground Ceylon cinnamon (15 grams)
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cayenne pepper (2 grams)
  • A cup of honey (340 grams)
  • 2 cups of water (500 ml)

Preparation:

  • To start, boil all the ingredients in a saucepan, except the honey, over low heat for at least 30 minutes.
  • Then filter the medicinal plants and boil again with the honey.
  • Then remove the lid, and let the water evaporate to obtain the texture of the syrup, over low heat for at least 15 minutes.
  • Finally, let cool and then store in an airtight jar in the refrigerator.

Way of consuming :

  • Take a tablespoon half an hour before each meal, pure or mixed with hot water.
