Learn How To Bleach Your Hair In A Natural Way

To bleach hair without fear of damaging it we can use natural products which, although they may take longer to take effect, we assure us a healthier result.

In the aesthetic world there will always be people who want to have lighter hair, and who want to bleach it.

This is due to several factors, which are for example taste, fashion or the simple convenience of a lighter tone. However, sometimes these people prefer to avoid synthetic or chemical methods.

Fortunately for them there are other alternatives. It is best to use certain remedies, or the natural method, which consists of combining options that will gradually discolor the hair.

When it comes to health, the natural method of bleaching this precious part of the head is the best.

However, in terms of results, this one will last much longer than the other and the intensity will be minimal compared to a dye, or similar hair treatment.

Before resorting to the different forms of natural discoloration you must take into account several factors:

  • For one thing, the color or level of lightening is not as intense as that of a stain.
  • On the other hand, one must be constant in the treatment chosen in order to obtain good results.

The vinegar

Its main use is quite far from that of lightening or bleaching hair. Despite this, it is used for hair bleaching in order to achieve the desired results.

However, one should be aware that the result is not the same with all hair.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of vinegar (250 ml)
  • 6 cups of water (1.5l)

Preparation

  • Mix the vinegar with the water in a container. Then rinse the hair or selected areas that you want to bleach for about 15 minutes.
  • As a variation of common vinegar, you can opt for apple cider vinegar. This has a more pleasant aroma and may prove to be more effective.

Vitamin C

This vitamin is found in several foods, especially in citrus fruits such as orange, grapefruit or lemon, among others. However, to bleach the hair it is better to opt for vitamin C of medical formula.

Ingredients

  • 9 vitamin C tablets
  • 1 bottle of shampoo (the one you normally use)

Preparation

  • Crush the vitamin C tablets until you get a more or less fine powder.
  • Add them to the shampoo bottle and shake well before each use, so that all the ingredients combine.
  • It will suffice to use it on a regular basis, as if you were washing your hair normally. Over time, you will see results.

Rhubarb

Many people may not be familiar with rhubarb. It is a plant with special properties very suitable for lightening the hair in a natural way.

For this reason, it is one of the most widely used natural options to obtain good results. To recognize it we must take into account its shape, similar to that of celery, and its colors, green and red.

Ingredients

  • 5 teaspoons of rhubarb (50g)
  • 2 cups of water (500 ml)

Preparation

  • Cut the rhubarb, then mix it with the cups of water and place everything on the heat until it boils for 10 or 15 minutes.
  • After the time indicated, strain everything through a colander and  use the remaining infusion to wash your hair to lighten their color.
  • Rinse your hair and let this liquid act for at least 10 minutes. After this period of time has elapsed, wash your hair with clean water.

Honey for bleaching hair

It is one of the best natural alternatives that exist for people who avoid the use of any type of chemical treatment based on tinctures or other similar products.

Apart from lightening the hair in a natural way (thanks to hydrogen peroxide), it also has various benefits to achieve this effect. It moisturizes the hair, hydrates it and gives it greater resistance.

Ingredients

  • ΒΌ cup of honey (84 g)
  • 1 cup of water (250 ml)
  • 1 cup vinegar (250 ml) optional

Preparation

By trying to avoid the viscosity of honey, first of all, it must be diluted. Be careful, because the more viscous and sticky it is, the more it can complicate its use on the hair.

  • Once the honey is diluted, apply it all over your scalp. Your best bet is to pull your hair up onto your head for best results.
  • Then add water or vinegar (one of the two), cover your head with a bathing cap and leave on overnight.
  • The next morning, wash your hair well.
