What to know about tonsils and their inflammation?

Tonsils are tissues that serve as defenses. Indeed, they will prevent the entry of germs found in food, in the air we breathe,  on objects that we put in our mouths, etc.

When they are exposed to certain microorganisms or bad habits, they may catch fire. They will therefore secrete pus because of the infection.

In this case, we can talk about tonsillitis. The most vulnerable individuals are children.  However, there is no specific age concerned.

Symptoms of tonsillitis include:

  • Pus in the throat
  • Ear pain
  • Loss of voice
  • The feeling of dry mouth
  • Inflamed lymph nodes
  • Pain in the jaws
  • Headaches
  • Generalized weakening
